Everything The Lead Lads®

This section brings together the key documents and information that support the way we work. From terms and conditions through to payment guidance and insurance information, we believe transparency matters.

Lead Lads® is built around clear systems, proper communication and professional standards. The links below are here to make it easy for clients to understand how we operate behind the scenes.

Standards

Built around recognised codes of practice and compliant detailing

Materials

Rolled lead sheet and associated components selected properly

Workmanship

Attention to detail is of paramount importance and remains fundamental to everything we do

Standard of Work

Of paramount importance is the quality of the work that we produce. Whilst our work may carry some added flair, the underlying approach is disciplined, methodical and rooted in compliant leadwork practice.

We follow the principles set out within BS 6915, recognised Lead Sheet Association guidance and the wider body of industry knowledge relating to the correct use of rolled lead sheet in roofing applications.

Materials & Supply

It is critical that the lead used within our work is manufactured to BS EN 12588. Consistency in material quality is essential if the finished work is to perform as intended over the long term.

We maintain a controlled and quality-led approach to sourcing lead sheet and associated items so that standards are upheld throughout the supply chain.

How We Define Proper Leadwork

Lead Lads® is built around the belief that leadwork should be properly designed, properly detailed and properly installed. That means attention to movement, detailing, substrate preparation and workmanship at every stage.

Materials

The Importance of Correct Supply

Good workmanship depends on good materials. It is not enough for lead to look right — it must also be manufactured, handled and detailed correctly if it is to perform as intended over the long term.
